Del Mar Middle School students to make the switch from laptops to iPads


Del Mar Middle School will swap its students’ laptops for iPads beginning next year — a move district technology staff says will save the district money and positively impact student learning. Director of Technology Evan McKay says Apple has discontinued its 11-inch MacBook Air model, so the district will no longer be able to replenish the 150-200 new laptops it needs each year for incoming sixth-graders.
