Heritage commission rejects proposed relocation of Trestle Trail donor plaques


Trestle Trail organizers are again drawing the ire of public officials over their plans to install permanent donor plaques as they failed to win the support of the Tiburon Heritage & Arts Commission in a bid to move two plaques from the end of the trail to a new landscaped picnic area at the trail’s entrance. The commission says the donor plaques contradict the town’s policy against such memorials — the same concerns it issued when the project organizers sought to install donor plaques on benches lining the trail earlier this year.
