Ex-caregiver gets 7 years for burglary, threats on Tiburon cop


A Vallejo man who worked as a caregiver and had a minor role on Netflix’s “13 Reasons Why” will serve up to seven years and four months in prison after pleading guilty to stealing thousands of dollars in jewelry from elderly clients around Marin and subsequently threatening the Tiburon detective whose work led to his arrest. Bryan Box, 24, pleaded guilty on March 7 to 14 felony counts, including burglary, possession of stolen property, criminal threats and stalking to avoid a jury trial that was set to begin in Marin County Superior Court the same day. He will serve his sentence in state prison, according to his attorney, Robert Casper Jr.
