Businesses at Strawberry Village see cluster of car break-ins


Authorities say a smash-and-grab last Tuesday afternoon at Strawberry Village Shopping Center started the same way many do, with valuables left behind and clearly visible in the car. Marin sheriff’s Sgt. Brennan Collins says Strawberry Village, specifically the In-N-Out Burger and Safeway, sees more car break-ins than any other area in their jurisdiction, which includes all unincorporated areas of Marin County excluding federal or state land, such as break-in-heavy areas like Vista Point near the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands.
