Tiburon council picks new mayor from ranks, seats first Black member


The Tiburon Town Council has elected Vice Mayor Jon Welner to serve as mayor and Councilmember Jack Ryan to serve as vice mayor for the coming year.


Both votes were unanimous at the council’s Dec. 1 meeting, coming after newly elected Councilmember Noah Griffin was sworn into office, bringing the five-member board back to full membership for the first time in months.
