Tiburon trail group appeals to state’s Supreme Court

A Belvedere-Tiburon citizens group seeking to preserve public access to four scenic hiking trails on the undeveloped Easton Point private property above downtown Tiburon is appealing its case to the California Supreme Court. The move by Tiburon-Belvedere Residents United to Support the Trails, or Trust, comes after it lost its suit against property owner the Martha Co. in Marin County Superior Court in 2017 and a subsequent appeal in the 1st District Court of Appeal in October. Trust filed its request with the state high court on Dec. 2. The court has not yet determined whether it will hear the case.
