Wilkinson to take her first turn as Belvedere’s mayor


The Belvedere City Council has elected Vice Mayor Sally Wilkinson as the city’s new mayor for the upcoming year, while the role of vice mayor was given to colleague Steve Block.


Outgoing Mayor James Campbell, who remains on the council, handed off the job to Wilkinson at the council’s Dec. 13 teleconference meeting. Because the meeting was held remotely amid the pandemic, Wilkinson received Belvedere’s traditional mayoral sash ahead of time.
