The second annual Belvedere Home-Made Film Festival returns to Community Park Oct. 10, featuring 32 shorts made by locals on topics ranging from the life of a postal worker to the healing power of redwoods.
The free event is set for 6:30-9 p.m. and will include an opening performance from the Windsor Street Blues Band playing hits from artists like The Beatles. There will be free popcorn, hot chocolate and homemade soup.
The 32 films, which range from 30 seconds to three minutes long, were selected from 39 total submissions by a panel of seven judges. They included festival organizer and Belvedere resident Adam Gavzer, a real-estate agent with a background in acting and theater, and festival co-producer Matteo Farinacci, who is currently studying film at the University of Miami.
