Strawberry artist part of duo oil-painting exhibit at Town Hall

Joe Grenn has spent hours windsurfing near the Golden Gate Bridge and extreme skiing on some of the highest mountains in the world without injuring himself. However, the Strawberry resident was recently hanging one of his large paintings at a Marin Society of Artists exhibit when the painting fell off the hook. “I caught it, but it hit my arm and tore my bicep tendon, proving that art is a dangerous activity,” he says. Grenn and fellow society member and San Anselmo resident Judith Stern have a duo oil-painting exhibit, “Moments in Time,” showing through Oct. 31 in the upstairs Community Room of Tiburon Town Hall. There is an artists’ reception set for 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 16. (Diane Smith photo)
