Tiburon council approves $600k contribution to library expansion

Tiburon will contribute $600,000 to the Belvedere-Tiburon Library expansion project — just over half of the $1.12 million library officials had requested from the town. The Town Council at its June 19 meeting voted unanimously to contribute $150,000 a year over the next four years to the project, with councilmembers saying giving library officials their full request would have too-crippling an impact on the town’s hefty capital-improvement to-do list.
