Belvedere officials showcase gains in public safety, infrastructure, housing at annual town meeting

Belvedere officials outlined infrastructure projects, housing compliance efforts and public-safety initiatives while honoring the 2025 citizens of the year at the city’s annual state-of-the-city meeting Jan. 27 at Belvedere Community Center.

 

City Manager Robert Zadnik told residents that the city’s housing element was approved by the City Council last year and is nearing state certification after years of negotiations with state regulators. Certification would put Belvedere in substantial compliance with state law governing housing planning.

 

“We’re meeting our legal obligations, but we’re also preserving the character and livability of our community,” Zadnik said.
