Will Glasgow and Nancy Floyd say their 11½-year-old dog, Brandy, has become something of a downtown Tiburon regular, known for greeting residents, children and visitors — and for remembering which shops hand out treats.

Floyd, 71, and Glasgow, 79, have lived in Tiburon with Brandy since 2019, though their ties to the Bay Area go back decades.

Floyd has a deep passion for green energy and says the industry’s growth is irreversible. Originally from Boston, she moved to San Francisco in 1982 to found NFC Energy Corp., one of the first wind-energy development companies in the U.S. and served as its CEO. She later founded what she described as the first venture-capital firm focused on clean technology, Nth Power, pursuing that path for 29 years.

Glasgow, originally from Portland, Oregon, says his career brought him through Seattle, New York and eventually San Francisco, where he arrived in 1997 to run an international joint venture in wireless media and content for overseas markets.
