Foundation for Reed Schools is gearing up for return of spring fundraising drive
After a two-year pandemic-related hiatus, the Foundation for Reed Schools’ annual spring fundraiser returns this month with a full slate of events, including an online auction, an afternoon of boutique shopping and an evening of dinner and dancing.
The week of activities, which kicks of May 17 and culminates in the May 20 gala at the Corinthian Yacht Club, serves as the foundation’s last big push to meet its $2-million fundraising goal for the 2021-2022 school year — $1.5 million of which goes directly to the Reed Union School District to help support art, music, physical education, language and library programs at its three schools.
Foundation Executive Director Christina Bosch said the organization is excited to once again be able to host the events after being forced to cancel them entirely in 2020 and scaling back to just an online auction in 2021 amid ongoing pandemic restrictions.
“This historically has always been a real community-building event in addition to being an important fundraiser,” she said. “We love that we’re bringing the community together again.”
