Picks of the Week: Car show, boat show, Juneteenth, Concerts in the Park


Tiburon Classic CarShow at Shoreline Park

The 26th annual Tiburon Classic and Exotic Car Show runs 11 a.m.-4 p.m. June 20 along the water at Shoreline Park. Local car enthusiasts will be showing off their babies from 1980 and earlier, with the featured marque of Cadillac, including the first Cadillac Formula 1 model. Food and drink will be available for purchase. Ahead of the show, organizer Tom O’Neill will discuss how cars shaped American society, especially teenage culture, after World War II and through the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s. The free talk runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. June 18 at the Belvedere-Tiburon Library. Both events are free. tiburonclassiccarshow.com.


Neil Diamond tribute first Belvedere concert of summer

After you and Dad hit the Master Mariners Wooden Boat Show at Corinthian Yacht Club from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Father’s Day, June 21, then spend time on nearby Main Street for Tiburon’s annual Juneteenth celebration from 3 to 7 p.m., you can rock out at the first of Belvedere’s summer concerts in the park with Neil Diamond tribute act Super Diamond playing all the hits at 4 p.m. at the gazebo in Belvedere Community Park. Opening the show will be a student rock band from Del Mar Middle School. The series continues with Big Crush, playing dance hits and mash-ups, on July 12.
