Servino family plans to open new candy shop on Main Street

A candy store on Main Street — but not The Candy Store on Main Street — is coming to downtown Tiburon before the end of the year, with the local family behind Caffe Acri and Servino Trattoria at the helm.

 

Landlord A&C Ventures announced in a news release this week that the Servino family plans to “reimagine the iconic Candy Store” at the now-vacant 7 Main St. site, which shares a wall in the same building as Caffe Acri at the corner of Tiburon Boulevard.

 

Natale Servino, managing partner of the family business and president of the Tiburon Peninsula Chamber of Commerce board, said in an interview that while a name and design is still being finalized, the goal is to open the new store in the fall and offer an expanded selection of candies and sweets alongside snacks and locally sourced gifts.


The Candy Store closed in April after owner Jennifer Torres said the landlord, which does business locally as ACV Argo Tiburon LP, demanded a 61% rent increase with building upgrades that made it impossible to remain open.
