Tiburon town manager’s decade of service comes with 4% raise

Tiburon Town Manager Greg Chanis, who marked a decade leading the town in January, is getting a 4% raise that will boost his annual salary by $10,796 beginning April 1.

The increase to $280,687 per year, up from $269,891, was unanimously approved by the Town Council at its March 18 meeting following a performance review completed March 4.

The amended employment agreement includes increases to Chanis’s car, housing and cellphone allowances that work out to about $80 more per month, retroactive to the beginning of the year. Chanis can also cash out up to 40 hours of unused vacation time in fiscal 2026-2027, which begins July 1. He has the same ability to cash-out 40 hours of paid time off this fiscal year.

Chanis’ car allowance is now $441 per month, up from $420; his housing allowance increased to $1,102.50 per month, up from $1,050; and his cellphone allowance is now $137.81 per month, up from $131.25.
