Two Tiburon tennis players repeat as national champs

The Tiburon Peninsula Club’s national-champion women’s 65-and-older 9.0 doubles tennis team includes Tiburon residents Amy Rennert and Cecilia Arnold.

Tiburon residents Amy Rennert and Cecilia Arnold, members of the Tiburon Peninsula Club, won their second consecutive national championships with their 65-and-over 9.0 doubles team Feb. 4 in Arizona.


The NorCal women won 17 of their 18 matches, beating the Southern California team in the semi-final and the Southwest team in the final, which came down to two super ties.
