Tiburon trims drone ordinance, but school bans remain in place


In response to pushback from state and national media-advocacy organizations and The Ark, Tiburon will scale back its recently enacted drone law, removing three provisions that ban drones from flying near local special events and emergency responders. However, the town has mostly left untouched two rules that prohibit drones from flying in Reed Union School District campus airspace and from photographing students, despite ongoing First Amendment and federal-supremacy concerns from the media organizations.
