While growing up on Centro West Street, Peter Lucas would turn his daily bike ride to Del Mar Middle School into an adventure.
He says he used to “bomb down the hill” that descends from Old St. Hilary’s Landmark. Then it was time for tricks.
“I would try and wheelie the whole way to Del Mar school,” he says.
Lucas’ love for biking hasn’t waned, and now the Tiburon resident is aiming to share his passion with the community. Lucas opened Marin Service Course at The Boardwalk shopping center July 25. It’s the business’s second location, following the original Fairfax shop that opened in 2019. The Tiburon outpost replaces Diana’s of Tiburon, the gift shop that closed in April 2025 after owner Diana Maureen decided to retire.
Marin Service Course sells and services bikes and stocks nutrition products for cyclists, and it offers bike fitting, coaching and organized community rides.
