Campbell steps into second stint as Belvedere’s mayor


The Belvedere City Council has elected Vice Mayor James Campbell as the city’s new mayor, marking his second mayoral term, while the role of vice mayor was given to colleague Sally Wilkinson, who was appointed to the council in July to fill an unexpected vacancy. The council at its Dec. 14 teleconference meeting also welcomed two newly elected members, Steve Block and James Lynch, into their ranks and bid farewell to councilmembers Bob McCaskill and Claire McAuliffe, who have each served on the council since 2012 but decided not to seek third terms, as is customary in Belvedere.
