Tam schools superintendent abruptly resigns
Tamalpais Union High School District Superintendent David Yoshihara has resigned, leaving the district to find new leadership as it battles financial turmoil — including projected deficit spending of nearly $8 million next year — to stave off insolvency by 2020. Yoshihara, who was named to the district’s top post in July 2015, tendered his resignation at a June 21 closed-session meeting of the district’s board of trustees. Board President Leslie Lundgren Harlander said in a statement that Yoshihara’s resignation is effective June 30.
