Belvedere ponders permits for parties in Community Park


Frustrated by weekend visitors leaving trash behind in Belvedere Community Park, city officials are mulling whether to require those who host birthday parties, barbecues and other events in the public space to obtain a permit. Public Works Manager Robert Zadnik presented a memorandum to the city’s Parks and Open Space Committee last month raising the possibility of requiring the special-event permits in the park, which lies on Community Road adjacent to City Hall.
