Caltrans adding Highway 101 barrier by Strawberry Village

Caltrans will install a 4,000-foot-long concrete barrier between northbound Highway 101 and the Redwood Highway frontage road over the next year in an effort to better protect patrons of Strawberry Village Shopping Center from high-speed freeway traffic. Work on the project, which is expected to cost nearly $4.7 million, began in late April; intermittent lane closures from Richardson Bay Bridge to Tiburon Boulevard can be expected through summer with the project wrapping up by May 2020, officials said.
