Tiburon signals it will help pay for library expansion


The Tiburon Town Council appears poised to contribute cash to the Belvedere-Tiburon Library expansion project but won’t make the decision until at least June 5, voting to wait until it can review the library’s revised $1.1-million request to share costs in context with the town’s other fiscal 2019-2020 budget demands. Library officials have indicated the request is part of a revived larger plan to seek some taxpayer funding for the $18 million expansion project from Tiburon’s and Belvedere’s municipal budgets.
