Strawberry Village hit with another spate of smash-and-grabs


Four smash-and-grabs were reported at the Strawberry Village Shopping Center and a nearby fast-food restaurant within a five-hour span on July 18, according to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office. The first report came in at 7:11 p.m., when a caller who had parked at Safeway about 5 p.m. came out of the store and found their car window had been smashed and $200 worth of items had been taken, said sheriff’s Lt. Scott Harrington. Minutes later, another caller parked in the same lot reported his car window was shattered and someone had taken a backpack and paperwork.
