Belvedere names new faces to planning, preservation and library boards

An architect with more than four decades of experience has been named to the Belvedere Planning Commission and is among three new faces appointed to city boards this month.

The City Council voted unanimously June 12 to appoint residents Alexander Seidel to the planning board, Terrie Di Gangi to the Historic Preservation Committee and Emily Poplawski to the Belvedere-Tiburon Library Agency board of trustees. They’ll all serve four-year terms.

At the same meeting, the council also reappointed incumbents Pat Carapiet and George Gnoss to new four-year terms on the Planning Commission and Historic Preservation Committee, respectively; incumbent Julianne Schaefer to a new three-year term on the Belvedere-Tiburon Joint Recreation Committee board, which oversees The Ranch; and incumbents Jena Watson and Nic Markman to new four-year terms on the Parks, Open Spaces and Lanes Committee. There is one open seat on that board.
