Cardinals complete their undefeated playoff run as Majors division champs

The No. 3 Cardinals captured the Tiburon Peninsula Little League’s Majors division championship, defeating the No. 4 Giants 10-3 on Super Saturday June 8 at Strawberry Field.

 

The Cards had caught fire just in time, breezing through the playoffs undefeated with an upset of the No. 2 Yankees and a second-round victory over the Giants. The Giants were hoping for their own Cinderella story with an upset of the No. 1 Pirates and their own upset of the Yankees to battle out of the elimination bracket for their spot in the final.
