Pick of the Week: Michael Jackson tribute Foreverland Sunday in Belvedere

Michael Jackson tribute band Foreverland closes this year’s Belvedere Concerts in the Park series at 4 p.m. Sept. 6 at the gazebo in Community Park. The 12-piece band uses no impersonator, playing instead as a celebration of the music — from The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back” in the late ’60s through the disco of “Off the Wall” to the dance grooves of “Thriller” and beyond. The band, which has been playing events since 2009, builds its shows around the energy of the songs rather than the man who sang them. It is the fourth and last concert of the summer.
