Jazz Caliente at Old St. Hilary’s Landmark
Jazz Caliente will play a concert at 4 p.m. March 22 at Old St. Hilary’s Landmark. The six-piece group, led by guitarist Lee Waterman, includes Latin jazz as well as classics made famous by Miles Davis and Duke Ellington with Brazilian and Afro-Cuban rhythms. There is no parking at Old St. Hilary’s; free parking is available at The Boardwalk shopping center, with a shuttle leaving from in front of Rustic Bakery beginning 30 minutes before the show. Bel Aire Elementary presents ‘Lion King’
The kids of Bel Aire Elementary School will present “The Lion King Jr.” beginning 6:30 p.m. March 24. Two casts of students will perform the youth-adapted musical, which is based on the 1997 Broadway production and the beloved 1994 Disney animated film. The story follows a young lion prince who flees after the death of his father, only to return to confront his villainous uncle and reclaim his rightful place. The production features the fan-favorite songs “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” and “Hakuna Matata.” Shows run at 6:30 p.m. March 24-27, with matinees at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. March 28.
