The Ranch has been named the Tiburon Peninsula Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year, recognizing the joint recreation agency’s 50 years of serving the community.

The agency will be honored at Bank of Marin’s annual Spirit of Marin luncheon Sept. 26 in San Rafael and at a local chamber event Nov. 18.

“It takes a team to create this ideal community, and we are proud of the work that The Ranch staff and our fellow businesses do to make it the best,” Executive Director Jessica Hotchkiss said in an email. She said it was touching to provide programming that residents have come to see as family traditions.

Chamber Executive Director Melanie Haddad said in an email that The Ranch in its five decades of operation has “helped define what it means to be a community on the Tiburon Peninsula.”

“Its inclusive, self-sustaining approach to recreation and community engagement is inspiring,” she said.
