Marchers, Tiburon town officials take stand against anti-Semitism


About 100 people turned out Dec. 2 for a march against anti-Semitism after recent incidents in which anti-Semitic graffiti was found scrawled in downtown Tiburon and on the grounds of Bel Aire Elementary School. The march came just days after an at-times heated special meeting of the Tiburon Town Council, which ultimately voted unanimously Nov. 29 to adopt a resolution condemning the hate speech — but not without accusations from march co-organizer and Councilmember Holli Thier that two of her council colleagues were trying to delay the vote so the town could avoid it altogether.
