Strawberry sites are identified for potential housing

The county has identified nearly a dozen sites in Strawberry that could accommodate up to 136 new housing units as part of its state-mandated attempt to plan for significantly more housing across its unincorporated areas over the next eight years.

The 11 Strawberry sites — which include a string of properties along the Redwood Highway frontage road commercial strip as well as several vacant parcels north of Tiburon Boulevard — are among nearly 200 the county has preliminarily identified in its unincorporated cities and towns as areas where housing could be developed during the 2023-2031 housing cycle.

There are no sites identified in unincorporated Tiburon, which includes Paradise Cay.
