Tiburon will spend up to $1.98 million to repave streets in the Belveron West, Reedlands, Bel Aire and Cypress Hollow neighborhoods this summer.

The Town Council voted unanimously at its June 17 meeting to approve two contracts for the project. A $1.67 million contract with Sacramento-based Pavement Coatings Co. covers the road work, which includes cold-planing, hot-mix asphalt overlays, slurry sealing and rebuilding sidewalks, curbs and gutters. A $174,115 contract with Pavement Engineering Inc. covers construction management.

The Pavement Coatings contract includes an 8% contingency, which raises its total to about $1.8 million.

The bid was the lowest of three bids, with the others, from VSS International and Maggiora & Ghilotti Inc., at $1.76 million and $2.4 million, respectively. The town’s engineering estimate was $1.49 million.

The town spent $113,928 in fiscal 2026 to design the project, bringing total estimated costs to roughly $2.1 million.
