The new operator of the Bungalow Kitchen in downtown Tiburon says he’s planning to introduce weekday lunchtime service and fully revamp the menu at the waterfront restaurant.

Justin Massei, who heads Scottsdale, Arizona-based Clive Collective, told The Ark in an exclusive interview he hopes to add the lunch hours at the 5 Main St. eatery as soon as staffing permits, possibly by mid-July or early August. Massei also said gathering customer input has been a priority for Clive Collective since taking over operations June 1.

“Step one, really, is getting to know our community,” Massei, 42, said. “That’s like the No. 1 thing for us is to reconnect with the neighbors, let them know that we’re here, shake hands, introduce ourselves, listen and learn a bit for these first 30, 45 days.”

While a new menu is still being devised, Massei said “prices will come down a little bit” as the group looks to put its own spin on the food. He also said he plans to host a community event where residents can meet the new team and preview new menu offerings.

Massei said his goal is to make Bungalow Kitchen an eatery diners can visit multiple times a week.
