Tiburon arts board eyes aluminum bird exhibit as first rotating public artwork

The Tiburon Heritage and Arts Commission will reach out to Sausalito-based sculptor Nicki Adani about bringing one of her aluminum bird sculptures to Tiburon as a public-art exhibit. Adani’s ‘Taking Flight,’ shown outside the Petaluma Arts Center, is an example of her work. The commission also discussed creating a dedicated space for rotating public-art exhibits, similar to Yountville’s program. (via NickiAdani.com)

Commissioner Nora Noguez suggested Adani’s birds could inaugurate a permanently dedicated space for temporary art exhibits — a concept similar to the Napa County town of Yountville’s mile-long Art Walk.
