Tiburon marks start of spring with Nowruz

Members of the Beshkan Dance Academy from San Jose perform on the Main Street stage April 1 during Tiburon’s inaugural celebration of Nowruz, the Persian new year. The event, an initiative of the Diversity Inclusion Task Force, included a performance by classical Persian music ensemble Nariman Assadi, food vendors, crafts and a brief dedication to the Iranian Women’s Rights Movement.
