Tiburon plans $8M year of park, infrastructure improvements

Tiburon plans to spend $8 million in fiscal 2026-2027 on projects ranging from street paving and storm-drain repairs to adaptive traffic signals and park design, part of a $21.2 million five-year program focused largely on maintaining the town’s existing infrastructure.

About $1.49 million is set aside for parks- and trail-related improvements and design efforts, including finishing designs for two of the major sites the town is looking to improve: Cypress Hollow Park and the former sanitation ponds site near McKegney Green.

The plan does not appropriate funds but serves as a budgeting and planning tool. The Town Council is scheduled to review the budget, including the capital-improvement plan, at 6:30 p.m. June 3, with adoption expected June 17 ahead of the new fiscal year beginning July 1.

Public Works Operations Manager Patrick Kerslake said before the meeting that projected costs for the coming year’s program are locked in, although fund balances may be revised ahead of final adoption.
