Two October events aim to boost disaster readiness on Tiburon Peninsula

Tiburon Peninsula residents will have two opportunities next month to learn disaster-preparedness skills, from building emergency go bags to understanding evacuation routes beyond Tiburon Boulevard.

The first event, “Build a Go Bag,” will teach residents how to assemble a backpack with essential emergency supplies to last 72 hours. It will take place 5-6 p.m. Oct. 10 in Belvedere City Hall’s Community Road parking lot, in front of the Community Center and Police Department.

The second event, “Get Ready To Go 94920,” will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 18 at Belvedere Community Park and will educate Tiburon and Belvedere residents on broader disaster preparedness.
