Vice Mayor Griffin resigns from Tiburon Town Council
Updated: Feb 7
Tiburon Vice Mayor Noah Griffin, who blazed a historic trail by becoming the first Black member of the Town Council, has resigned from the board after serving just over a year.
Griffin, 77, stepped down Jan. 27, citing personal reasons. His wife, Meredith, is battling stage-four breast cancer, and Griffin said he wants to devote his time to her care.
“I want her to know I was completely and totally committed to her because, for the last 17 years, she’s been completely and totally committed to me,” Griffin said.
