Bay Shore Studies docent gives hands-on lessons in ecology of bay

Wendy Reichardt is good at convincing elementary school students to get their hands dirty. For nearly three years, the Tiburon resident has been volunteering with the Bay Shore Studies program, which is run by the Estuary & Ocean Science Center at the Romberg Tiburon Campus. During the low-tide months, January to June, Reichardt leads third-, fourth- and fifth-graders from all over the Bay Area on a two-hour field drip to various areas of the ecologically rich Richardson Bay.
