Noise rules at Art & Garden Center tightened following neighbor appeal

The Belvedere-Tiburon Landmarks Society will have to get third-party monitoring if it wants to keep using amplified music for Art & Garden Center events after neighbors appealed the venue’s conditional-use permit.

 

The Tiburon Town Council voted unanimously to implement the requirement during a May 21 hearing that extended past midnight, partially granting an appeal from the so-called Art & Garden Neighborhood Collective. The group of seven neighbors living near the center, at 841 Tiburon Blvd., sought stricter noise controls for events with amplified music, primarily weddings.
