For the second time in three months, Tiburon has found a Berkeley developer’s bid to build nine townhomes on the Point Tiburon Plaza parking lot incomplete, leaving the project in limbo.

Senior Planner Kristin Teiche notified Black Oak Ventures in a March 11 letter that the application still had unresolved issues with the development’s proposed height of 38 feet, parking and vehicle-traffic plans, utilities, accessibility and building location, among others.

Teiche confirmed in a March 12 email to The Ark that Black Oak, which is applying for the project as BOV 1801 Tiburon LLC, must resubmit its application addressing the town’s concerns to pursue the project. The firm can appeal the staff decision within 10 days of the letter, with the appeal heard by the Planning Commission.
