Caltrans to address bike-lane plan at special forum

Caltrans officials will address mounting public concerns about planned bike lanes on Tiburon Boulevard at a special meeting with the Town Council and Southern Marin Supervisor Stephanie Moulton-Peters from 5 to 6:30 p.m. June 4 at Town Hall.
The forum comes as Assemblymember Damon Connolly, D-San Rafael, urged Caltrans to pause advancement of the controversial project, citing safety concerns and insufficient community engagement in a May 19 letter to the state transportation agency.
“Our residents and stakeholders will have an opportunity to discuss this very important project with Caltrans,” Mayor Holli Thier said in an email. “Caltrans will address the multiple safety and other concerns expressed and will discuss the path forward.”
