A clothes dryer ignited a house fire on Ricardo Road in Strawberry over the weekend, displacing a resident and their pet, according to the Southern Marin Fire District.

Fire crews responded about 5 p.m. June 13 and found a garage fully ablaze, with flames spreading into the home and attic, the district said. Firefighters knocked down the fire, searched the home and cut openings to release smoke and heat, bringing it under control in about 15 minutes.

Crews contained the fire by about 5:15 p.m. No injuries were reported.
