Frank Trusheim, devoted and loving husband and father, passed away on Sunday, September 12th at the age of 61. He lived in Tiburon, California, for the last thirteen years and was born in Teaneck, New Jersey. He had a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, a master’s in computer science, and a long career in telecommunications.

Frank was an avid reader, consuming everything from historical non-fiction books to business books to beach reads, usually all at once. The knowledge he absorbed made him the go-to guy for information about anything — a city’s history, a sports team, how to fix a broken household appliance.

He was a salt of the earth outdoorsman and loved sitting in his hot tub reading his three daily newspapers cover to cover, gardening, hiking, golfing, skiing — anything that gave him an excuse to spend time in nature.

In Frank’s free time, he volunteered in his community — at the Tiburon Railroad and Ferry Depot Museum, the Richardson Bay Sanitary District board, the Matthew Turner educational tall ship, Junior Achievement of Northern California, the Marin Municipal Water District, and on the board of the Sewerage Agency of Southern Marin. On top of it all, he coached every sport his kids played. More than anything, Frank loved spending time with his family.

Frank is described by those who knew him as the nicest, most loving, selfless, warm, and thoughtful man. He was methodical, kind-hearted, sympathetic, and virtuous. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by the love of his life Lisa Trusheim; his four children Jake Trusheim, Amanda Trusheim, Luke Trusheim, and Joseph Trusheim; his mother Josephine Trusheim; and his brother Kevin Trusheim (Michelle Neumann). He was preceded in death by his father Frank Trusheim and his sister Renee Trusheim.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a GoFundMe campaign — hwww.gofundme.com/f/frank-trusheim-memorial-donation-fund — which will be distributed to the Tiburon Railroad and Ferry Depot Museum, where Frank and his son Luke volunteered for years, and the Ring Mountain preserve, where he spent countless hours hiking.
